CD review from Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles

hgbwbk.jpg

Wielding a four song sampler pulled from the full-length, Unleash The Massattack, this trio combines the powerful crush of Pantera with ryhmes a la Limp Bizkit. Mixing two diametrically opposed metal sub-genres is a calculated risk that will have some fans bouncing up and down in delight, while others will simply shake their head in disbelief. Speed and aggression are mixed with rapping bouncy beats while vocal performance jumps back and forth from Vulgar Display Of Power to Chocolate Starfish & The Hot Dog Flavored Water. The sound is punishing, almost schizophrenic in nature as the change in style between track one 'The Ladder' and track two 'Fly Routine' is beyond bizarre. Look for a DVD by the end of the year.
